Copper piping thief caught red-handed in property - by estate agent showing someone round
A burglar who was caught breaking into an empty house by an estate agent who was showing someone the property has been jailed.
Simon Mapletoft, 34, broke into the house on Avondale Road, Chesterfield, last November.

He was stealing lead and copper piping when he was interrupted by the estate agent who then called police.
Mapletoft was arrested and later charged with burglary.

He pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced to 12 months in prison at Derby Crown Court.
