Cyclist in hospital after car collision
A 40-YEAR-OLD cyclist was taken to hospital with head injuries after his bike was involved in collision with a car.
Police and paramedics were called to the incident, in Kenilworth Avenue, Derby, at 9.20pm on Saturday.
A spokesman for Derbyshire police said the collision happened at a pedestrian crossing close to the junction with Derby Lane.
He said the cyclist was taken to the Royal Derby Hospital. His condition was described as "stable and not life-threatening".
The spokesman said police had no details about the small, dark, hatchback car involved. Anyone with information is asked to call Derbyshire police's witness appeal line on 01773 572929.
