initiative which works with people at risk of being socially marginalised due to position, status, class or
culture.
Christina Lydon, learning manager at Derby Theatre, said:
“All Our Daughters? is an exciting project for Derby Theatre to be involved in as it explores and highlights so
many issues relating to forced marriage and honour violence. Borderlines is a well-established company
and we are confident that the conference will be an inspirational event for Derby educators, artists and
those who work in the community, voluntary and health sectors. Drama, theatre and the arts can be used
very effectively to address social issues – All Our Daughters is a shining example of this and the
conference is an ideal opportunity and platform to discuss and develop new, related ideas for Derby."
The performance of All Our Daughters? on March 1 at 11.00 am is included in a day-long conference to
discuss the key themes explored and highlighted within the play.
