MAREHAY Vauxhall has continued its winning streak into 2013 by scooping Vauxhall's prestigious Customer Excellence Award for a second year in a row.
The Vauxhall garage in Derby Road, Ripley, is building up quite an impressive trophy cabinet as a double success last year included the Assistance Repairer of the Year title at the British Bodyshop Awards 2012.
Ian Beardsley, Marehay Vauxhall's general manager, said: "We were delighted to win the Customer Excellence Award last year – but winning it twice in a row really is fantastic!"
The annual award from the British manufacturer recognises and rewards top-performing dealers for the quality of service they give to their customers, using customer feedback as the sole judging criteria.

The Vauxhall awards are only in their second year and Marehay Vauxhall, ranked 13th nationally for its customer service, is one of only two dealerships which have been winners in both years. Considering that it is up against some multi-national chains, it is justly proud of what it has achieved.
The Customer Excellence Award was presented to the Marehay team by Vauxhall executives Ian Down, Gary Bird and Andy Lyon.
Mr Lyon said: "Marehay Vauxhall has gone that extra mile to help our customers and make their purchasing and servicing experiences as positive as possible.
"The award really is a recognition of the hard work that's gone into their consistent standards and all-round high performance."
One of the oldest Vauxhall dealerships in the county and a member of Derbyshire County Council's Trusted Trader scheme, Marehay Vauxhall has been in business for more than 82 years and says it offers customers the best of both worlds – a corporate image with traditional values.
"We have the strength of Vauxhall behind us but we're still a family business at our core," said Mr Beardsley.
"We offer customers a really personal level of service that is becoming quite rare in our industry – and feedback proves they like it!"
Company secretary Jackie Hunt added: "We may have grown since our early days as a small family business but we still care and customers really appreciate that. We still have the same values."
Although its excellent customer service remains as strong as ever, there is one big change at Marehay Vauxhall… the arrival of the all-new Vauxhall ADAM – and it's something totally different for the marque.
"We're really excited about the ADAM," says Ian. "It's a totally new concept, allowing customers to specify countless details to create their own perfect model. There are more than one million different options so customers can be as creative as they like to reflect their personality and meet their individual motoring needs."
The new city car is officially launched today and Marehay Vauxhall has a demonstrator to test drive, with cars available for delivery later this month.
