MUSIC from wartime to Motown will help raise money for the Help for Heroes charity.

Angie Hall is organising a Dance through the Decades night at the University of Derby's Academy Bar and is aiming to raise £1,000.

Erin Parker will perform sounds from the 1940s before a disco on August 7.

Angie said: "We want people to come dressed in the style of their favourite decade and, as they come in, they can pay £1 to choose a record that we will play."

A rock and roll lesson, which must be pre-booked, will be held for an hour before the dance, costing £2.50. Tickets for the dance are £5 in advance or £6 on the door.
