FORMER Derby County and Burton Albion striker Lee Morris has joined Leek Town – and could be in the side for today's Evo-Stik Division One South game against Belper Town.

Morris, who was a £3m signing for the Rams when they were in the Premiership in 1999, has signed non-contract forms at Leek.

As well as playing football, Morris has also coached and was recently involved with Littleover White Swan, of the Derby Taverners League.

The move was orchestrated by Leek's goalkeeping coach, Jason McGuire, and Morris is seen as an ideal replacement for the departed Matt Haddrell.
