Derby City Council wins national "business transformation" award
Derby City Council has won a national award for its efforts to save cash while protecting frontline services.
The authority scooped the Local Government Chronicle's "business transformation award" at a ceremony last night.

Judges who shortlisted the authority said that, "even in these tough financial times", it was finding better ways of doing things.
They said: "It is investing in new IT so it can work more quickly and effectively.

This council and I mean all political parties should hang their heads in shame.
They have no pride and no substance just "men of straw"
In the past 3 years they have turned a good city into one that it is only going down and down and down.
I would advise any capable intelligent people to leave.”
