Derby County's Jeff Hendrick and Conor Sammon named in Republic of Ireland provisional World Cup squads
DERBY County's Conor Sammon and Jeff Hendrick have been named in Republic of Ireland's provisional 29-man squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and Austria later this month.
Both won their first caps in the friendly against Poland last month.
Sammon started and played the full game, while Hendrick came on as a substitute and set up Ireland's second goal.
Rams skipper Richard Keogh also made his debut in the Poland game but the defender, an ever-present for Derby this season, is not included in the latest squad.
Ireland face Sweden in Stockholm on Friday, March 22, and Austria in Dublin on Tuesday, March 26.
The squad will be trimmed to 23 next week.
