“anyone who is a proven goal scorer isnt really going to be availble on the loan market though, as i think you will find there playing for their first team week in week out. you might get a young kid from a prem team but then again we already have the likes of bennet so who do you think we can get, who the parent club would be willing to let go without a big free prommised upfront?”

“This is the consequence of a paper thin squad and suddenly we faithful feel nervous. Like not enough spread on your toast, its difficult to swallow. Underinvestment in action?”

“Please, please go into the long market to buy a goalscorer or someone to make chnaces for others. If not, all the Sammon and Clough loving fans will be 'bobbing it' during a relegation battle that some of us predicted after 2 points from 2 home games against Wolves and Bolton. I am sorry but too many fans are not looking at things realistically and are being a bit too loyal. We could be 16th after Leicester and all of a sudden the Bristol home game culd be very important.
Over the past 17 years we have all seen top 6 Derby teams under McFarland, Smith, Burley and Davies, and this team is no where near that level of consistentcy or quality. May be if we had kept Shakell, S. Davies and Green and then brought in Coutts, Keogh and Sammon we would have had a chnace. Currently, there is no competition for places and no strength in depth when players gt injured or suspended. FACT - not my opinion.”
