Derby Rugby Club so close
DERBY Rugby Club came within five minutes of avoiding a National League Division Three Midlands defeat for the first time this season but, after leading 17-7, were beaten 23-20 by a late penalty at Longton.
Ilkeston continued their good form in Midlands One East, winning 36-11 at Paviors, but Burton, after winning 80-0 last week, came back down to earth with a 29-5 loss at Old Halesonians in Midlands One West.
