Derby University's volleyball team fall in Conference Cup final
DERBY University’s women’s volleyball team were beaten in their Midlands Conference Cup final – but they pushed a strong University of East Anglia side all the way in a three-set loss.
Having been formed only in September, it was the team’s first year in action and coach Raj Bual says they can be proud of their progress.
“The scoreline is how the game went but it’s not how the players performed,” said Bual.
“We performed well – and better than I expeced originally.”
