MEMBERS of a Derby orchestra have been recording music with world-famous virtual band Gorillaz.

Sinfonia ViVa open the album, Plastic Beach, with an orchestral introduction. They feature on one of the last tracks, Cloud of Unknowing.

The orchestra recorded the music, released this month, with Gorillaz in the former Rolls-Royce foundry in Nightingale Road, Derby.

Peter Helps, chief executive of Sinfonia ViVa, said: "Working with the band was fun."

The album is the third released by the Gorillaz.
