Derby are still making moves for a 'director of football' - with poll
DERBY County say they are edging closer to naming a "director of football".
Chief executive Tom Glick will not be drawn on candidates for the role but Watford's Ross Wilson is favourite to fill the position.

Wilson is currently Head of Football Business at Vicarage Road, having filled a similar position at Scottish club Falkirk before he joined Watford last summer.
But there is speculation that Rams manager Nigel Clough is unhappy about the proposal to bring somebody in.
Yesterday, a Sunday newspaper suggested Clough was on a collision course with the club's owners over the appointment.
Another recent report claimed Clough was privately reluctant over the appointment.
The title of the role has yet to be decided but Glick said: "It continues to be an important appointment for the football club to strengthen us overall.
"That hasn't changed and I think we're getting closer.
"Until we have an announcement, we certainly won't speak about any individuals."
Glick explained how the new position would help him in transfer dealings.
"First and most importantly, it will take a lot of work off my plate, to help with transfers in and out of the club, working with other clubs and working with agents," said Glick.
"The person will help to add a bit of depth and an additional resource for Nigel (Clough) and his team and be someone who can also help and add value in recruitment in the Academy.
"But in the main, it is to have somebody come and help with the transfer policy in and out and help Nigel get players in and out."

“If I were Nigel Clough's agent, I would have started looking a bigger & better club for him, months ago!
The Americans have no ambition, and have failed to invest in the club.
Remember a previous Rams Director fo Football... Er... Murdo Mackay?”

“"First and most importantly, it will take a lot of work off my plate, to help with transfers in and out of the club, working with other clubs and working with agents". So exactly what will you be doing to justify your big fat salary, company car, associated expenses and perks Tom? Suggest we replace Tom with a monkey. We can also replace the new guy with a monkey, as we have no money.”

“From what I have heard NC has a say on who comes in as DOF. Ross Wilson is supposedly coming at the end of the season. He is very highly regarded at Watford.
This appointment will be to sort out the transfer deal side of things and will have no impact on the manager who will tell Wilson who he wants and Wilson will do the rest because Glick has been poor in this area.”

“Terrible idea, just look at all the animosity caused at Forest by their transfer dealings team. It just complicates the managers job.”

“No offence to Ross Wilson but why aren't we looking at a Derby old boy ?
I would go for Colin Todd as although he hasn't got a great track record as a manager, he was responsible for unearthing some great talent at Bolton, knows the game inside out + our club.”
