Derbyshire Building Society cuts interest rates on personal loans
DERBYSHIRE Building Society has cut its interest rates in an ongoing tit-for-tat battle among Britain's personal loan providers.
The society is now offering personal loans between £7,500 to £14,999 at a rate of 5.1% to its online customers. The move comes three weeks after rivals Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks announced it had cut rates to the same level. The competition between lenders started last year which saw the Derbyshire cut its interest rates twice in a week.
