DERBYSHIRE County Cricket Club have appointed Keith Loring as their new chief executive.

Derbyshire have moved swiftly to fill the role which will be vacated by Tom Sears, who is leaving to take up a new post in New Zealand.

Loring is currently head of commercial at the County Ground, having joined the club in 2003.

He has chief executive experience from spells with Derby County and Brentford football clubs.

Loring is due to start his new job a week on Monday.
