This is Derbyshire

Derbyshire were well beaten by eight wickets after slipping

to an inadequate total against Nottinghamshire last night.

Derbyshire could make only 114-8 batting first in their

Twenty20 Cup match at the County Ground.

Put in to bat, the Phantoms were soon in trouble at 47-6, with

Darren Pattinson (3-18) and Charlie Shreck (0-18) bowling

straight through their four-over allocations.

An aggressive 45 from Jamie Pipe, made off 38 balls with a six

and four fours, gave Derbyshire a fighting chance in the second

half of their innings.

But Will Jefferson (43) and Adam Voges (45) made sure there

were no alarms for the Outlaws and they won with 21 balls to

spare.
