'Distinctive' racing bike and a BMX stolen from playhouse

POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of two bikes.

The theft took place on Christmas Eve when burglars gained access to a children's playhouse in a garden in Corden Avenue in Mickleover.

One is a blue and white Tempo Moda racing bike.

The other is a black and white BMX with the word "Hustle" on the frame.

PC Laura Barker, from the Littleover Safer Neighbourhood policing team, said: "It may be that someone has received one of these bikes as a Christmas present or purchased one.

"The racing bike in particular is distinctive and unique so, if you have seen this bike or the BMX, please contact our team."

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to ring 101, quoting the crime reference 55051/12.
