Domini double sees Borrowash set up exciting Cup final clash with Pride Park
BORROWASH Victoria are through to the final of this season's Under-16 Challenge Trophy.
The Vics beat Belper Town Juniors 4-1 with Labrada Domini scoring twice and Joseph Illson and Curtin Kerr-Howell netting one each.
Jason Fenwick replied for Belper.
They will meet Pride Park Juniors in the final after their 4-0 success over Chellaston Boys Athletic.
Rhoadri Meads scored twice with Joshua Matin and Joseph Parkin adding one each.
ADASC, Allestree Juniors, Aston on Trent and Ilkeston Athletic will battle it out for a place in the final of the Under-15 Challenge Trophy following their quarter-final wins, while Spondon Dynamos booked a place in the semi-final of the Under-14 Challenge Trophy by beating Ilkeston 3-1.
In the league, a second-half comeback from Under-18 Division One leaders Mickleover Sports saw them retain their lead at the top.
They were trailing 2-1 at half-time in their game against Allestree Juniors with Jacob Gascoyne-Day and Samuel Treece having put the visitors ahead.
But Sports added another five to their tally after the break to record a 6-2 victory.
Oliver Baugh (2), Jack Hodgkinson (2), Elliott Baugh and Montell Tinsley-Edwards were the Mickleover scorers.
Meanwhile, Holbrook Sports took maximum points from their trip to Field Lane, where they won 4-2 with goals from Zachary Beer, Ross Holland, Connor Mason and Bradley Coope.
Jamie Shelton got all three goals for Codnor Boys as they beat Duffield Dynamo 3-1 in Under-16 Division One.
But doing even better was Duffield Dynamo United's Henry Lamb, who scored six times as his side beat Mickleover All Stars 9-0 in Division Two.
Two goals from Judah Cooney and one from Paul Reynolds helped Draycott United defeat Allestree Juniors Colts 3-1 in Under-15 Division Two.
St Georges beat Chellaston Boys Athletic 4-2 in the other game in the division.
Brookfield Colts chalked up the biggest win of the day in Under-14 Division One by beating Duffield Dynamo 6-0, led by two goals from Oliver Harvey-Toon.
Meanwhile, in Division Two, ADASC United eased past Chellaston Boys 5-0 thanks to goals from Brandan Richards (2), Ben Neale (2) and Ryan Smith.
Brandon Sharratt's strike for Cobra Oakwood was cancelled out by one each for Adam Hardy and George Ottewell as Allestree Juniors Colts beat them 2-1.
Under-13 Division One high-fliers Spondon Dynamo extended their lead at the top by beating Heanor Town Juniors 7-2.
Thomas Derbyshire, Jake Dickinson and Nathan Bennett got two each with Liam Gregg adding the seventh.
Six goals from Marcus Lumbard led Ashbourne Aztec Lions to a 7-4 victory over Melbourne United in Division Two,while Etwall United took all the points from their game against Allestree Juniors, beating the visitors 6-0, a win sparked by Luke Prowdler's hat-trick.
Borrowash Victoria celebrated the biggest win of the day in Under-12 Division One by beating Basford United 7-0 – and in doing so, moved to the top of the table.
Nathan Morley led with a hat-trick, followed by strikes from Ryan Hodgkinson (2) and Keldon Gordon (2).
