DOWNLOAD Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and has a mammoth line-up to help it toast the milestone in style.

The Donington Park event is one of the most popular festivals in the UK and attracts tens of thousands of metal fans every year.

Download veteran Slash has just been announced on the line-up and will perform with Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy.

It will mark the third time former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has played at the festival.

Legendary LA thrash metal band Megadeth are also joining in the 10th anniversary celebrations and will be aiming to be even louder and more aggressive than their last visit to Donington.

Other new additions include melodic hardcore punk group Rise Against, wild LA glam rockers Steel Panther, ferocious punk four-piece Billy Talent and US heavy metallers Black Label Society.

Kyuss Lives!, the incarnation of the rock band Kyuss, will unleash their desert rock fury on Donington, joined by Five Finger Death Punch bringing their signature blend of melody and full-tilt aggression, industrial metal four-piece Fear Factory and prog-metallers Periphery.

All those acts join the three-day festival's headliners Black Sabbath, Metallica and The Prodigy.

Download Festival takes place from Friday, June 8 to Sunday, June 10. Tickets are on sale now and rock fans are being urged to act fast to get the ones they ant.
