Drainage company in line for award for safety cartoons
A DRAINAGE specialist has been shortlisted for a national award for producing a series of eye-catching cartoons that show engineers how to work safely.
Lanes For Drains, which has a regional operations centre in Raynesway, Derby, has been selected as a finalist in the Construction News Awards. The company impressed judges with What Good Looks Like, a campaign that includes a series of drawings illustrating industry best practice.
They have earned the firm a place in the Health and Safety Initiative of the Year category at the awards, which will take place on July 11 in London.
James O'Hara, regional manager for Lanes For Drains, said: "We're always looking for fresh ways to get the health and safety message across and What Good Looks Like is just the latest example."
