Driver in the dock after fatal accident
A DERBYSHIRE driver has appeared in court accused of causing the death of a pedestrian by careless driving.
Leighton Hollins, 29, of Swadlincote, died in a collision with a Ford Mondeo driven by Robert Burbury.
The accident happened on the A511 Ashby bypass at 3.25am on November 19 last year. Burbury, 46, of Salisbury Drive, Midway, Swadlincote, denied causing death by driving without due care and attention.
The Leicester Crown Court case was adjourned for a trial, due to commence on January 21.
