Drivers stuck in traffic on M1 and A52
MOTORISTS are stuck in heavy queues on two major roads through Derbyshire this morning.
The M1 is slow southbound between junctions 24 and 25 because of an earlier accident.

Delays of 10 minutes are expected, with the Highways Agency stating the road should be clear by 9.45am.
And on the A52 Derby-bound, betwen Pentagon Island and The Wyvern, drivers have reported heavy traffic after a lorry broke down on the stretch.

“Wrong. The drivers are not stuck IN traffic. The drivers ARE the traffic. If the roads are busy it is because of all the drivers, not just the others. Semantics possibly, but I get fed up with people complaining that town is busy or the roads are busy, like they are not part of the problem.”
