E very creature has the natural right to thrive
I FIND the glib remarks by John Keith concerning a glut of Littleover foxes (''Are all the foxes making new homes in Littleover?'' Derby Telegraph, September 2) quite offensive and an attempt by him to bring back that old destructive chestnut of fox-hunting to keep the perceived fox population down.
What Mr Keith is forgetting is that every wild (and tame) creature has the natural right to live and thrive alongside fellow creatures.
Unfortunately, mankind doesn't see it that way and that is why people like Mr Keith would rather see the odd fox, squirrel, dormouse, badger, bird and beetle (to name but a few) wander about the delightful green suburbs of Littleover as long as they do it when he is not looking.
What I say to you (and no doubt many other eco-friendly individuals) is you are talking out of your ears and you will not stop the beauty and wonder of seeing our natural eco-friendly environment at work and play in our gardens, streets, woods and parks.
Has Mr Keith got a problem with the fauna of his country? Does he want a concrete jungle around him?
