East Midlands Counties: Lane and Carson out to impress at Prims
JASON Lane is hoping that a good performance from Graham St Prims tomorrow will stand him in good stead when the Derby side decide who will be their new manager.
Lane and Phil Carson have been put in temporary charge for the game against St Andrews following the departure of Mick Rogers last weekend.
Lane said: "We asked about the vacancy and were told that it was being advertised.
"So both Phil and I are applying and really want to do it.
"The players want us to do the job but we'll have to wait and see.
"We were brilliant in the Derbyshire Senior Cup game against Buxton the other night, even though we lost."
Lane will welcome back trio Simon Walker, Brett Adul and Chris Davies for the St Andrews game.
Gresley boss Gary Norton hopes to have defender Mark Blount back for tomorrow's trip to Barrow Town.
Blount missed last Saturday's FA Vase win over Ollerton Town and Tuesday night's 3-0 Derbyshire Senior Cup defeat to Belper Town with a dead leg.
Norton is also waiting on Jamie Barrett (ankle) and forward Stef Marshall (back) but Martin Gadsby is available again, having been cup-tied for the last two matches.
Holbrook will look to bring back Thom Kellogg for tomorrow's trip to in-form Greenwood Meadows .
But his younger brother, Sam, will face a late fitness test.
Brookies boss Kev Bunting said: "We have been playing some good football and will be looking to continue that."
Borrowash Victoria travel to Ibstock United with manager Mark Wilson welcoming back Phil Summerfield.
He said: "Ibstock isn't a nice place to go and we're expecting a difficult game."
Wilson could miss the game, however, with a sceptic leg.
