COMMUNITY buildings in South Derbyshire can now apply for a free energy audit.

Sustainable energy charity Marches Energy Agency will assess the possibilities of installing renewable energy technologies, including solar panels and ground-source heat pumps.

A limited of number of studies are being offered to churches, village halls and community centres on a first come, first served, basis.

The scheme is being funded by the Big Lottery and South Derbyshire District Council.
