Enjoy Bard in great outdoors
SHAKESPEARE'S Globe company are returning to the picturesque outdoor setting of the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton, this weekend.
From tonight until Sunday they will perform one of the Bard's favourites, The Comedy of Errors.
Take one pair of estranged twins (both called Antipholous) and one pair of twin servants (both called Dromio), keep them in ignorance of each other and throw them into a city with a reputation for sorcery and you have the chief ingredients for theatrical chaos.
This comedy explores the themes that Shakespeare returned to again and again in his later work; mistaken identity, coincidence and the importance of family.
Audiences are welcome to come along early and enjoy a pre-show picnic. Don't forget to bring your own low-backed seat or blanket.
A Comedy of Errors tickets are £15 for adults and £10 for children. The show starts at 6pm tonight and 5pm tomorrow and Sunday. Call 0845 127 2190 to book.
