Experience of streetlife for prospective Tory MP
A PROSPECTIVE Conservative MP has spent an evening patrolling the streets of Derby city centre with a group of churchgoers.
Jack Perschke, who is hoping to take the Derby South seat in the next general election, went on patrol with the Derby Street Pastors on Saturday night.

NIGHT ON PATROL: Tory candidate Jack Perschke on streets.
The pastors – made up of volunteers from churches across Derby – help weekend revellers get into taxis, clear away broken glass and even hand out flip-flops to women who take off their shoes as they pour on to city streets from clubs and bars.
Mr Perschke, 31, joined the pastors from 10pm until 4am. He said: "The street pastors are amazing. Giving up your time to help people who are being sick, who are potentially violent or who are in floods of tears, is a true act of love and compassion. They deserve medals.
"I intend to come out with these guys again before the election. It's a great chance to be a part of the community and a really practical way to contribute to our city."

“How nice of him to visit Derby South to look around. Our present MP and her huaband Leo live in Village Street Old Normanton and have done so for many years. She has no need to get to know the area as regular surgerys and constant working on the patch has ensured we already have a first class representative in parliament.”
