FIREWORK DISPLAYS AROUND THE AREA
TONIGHT
ILKESTON: The 4th Ilkeston Scouts will be holding its annual fundraising bonfire and firework display at Wardlow Road, Ilkeston. Entry is £2; under-fives free. Gates open at 6.30pm. Hot food will be available.
CODNOR: Free display, in Alfreton Road. Children's fairground and barbecue.
ETWALL: Etwall Primary School PTA and Etwall Cricket Club are holding a firework display at Etwall Cricket Club, in Church Hill. Gates open at 6pm and fireworks start at 7pm. Admission is £15 for a family and £7 single.
LONG EATON: The Erewash Borough Council event will be at West Park, in Wilsthorpe Road. Gates open at 6pm. Admission is £5 for adults and £2.50 for children and over-60s.
RISLEY: Firework display at Treetops Hospice, in Derby Road. Gates open at 6pm, fireworks start at 7.30pm. Adults £4, children £2. Money raised goes to the hospice.
SPONDON: Display at Spondon Cricket Club, in Locko Road. Bar and barbecue from 6pm, fireworks start at 7.30pm. Admission is adults £3, children £1, family £5.
SOMERCOTES: Amber Valley Rugby Club bonfire and firework display, starting at 6.30pm. There will be an indoor and outdoor bar, food and rides. Entry will be by donation. The event will be at the rugby club in Pye Bridge, Lower Somercotes.
SMALLEY: The annual firework display will take place in St Johns Road, from 5.30pm. Admission £5.50.
TOMORROW
DERBY: The 35th Derby Scout Group firework and bonfire night at the headquarters in Watson Street. Entry £1. Fireworks start 7pm, with a bonfire afterwards.
ALVASTON: A bonfire and fireworks display at Alvaston and Boulton Cricket Club, in Raynesway. Gates open at 6pm. Bar until late. Adults £2.50, children £1, under fives free.
BELPER: Free firework display at The Devonshire pub, in Bridge Street. Starting at 5pm.
HARTSHORNE: Hartshorne Cricket Club's annual free bonfire and firework display at The Admiral Rodney Inn, in Main Street. Starts at 7pm.
SPONDON: The annual Borrowash Victoria fireworks fund-raiser is taking place at the Old Asterdale Club, in Borrowash Road. Gates open at 4pm, with fireworks starting at 7.45pm
WILLINGTON: Fireworks event at King George Playing Fields, in Twyford Road, Willington, from 6.30pm to 9pm. Free admission.
SUNDAY
BELPER: Belper Meadows Sports Club bonfire and firework display at Christchurch Meadows, starting at 7pm. £3 for adults, £2 children.
MICKLEOVER: Display at Mickleover Sports, in Station Road, starting at 5pm. Tickets £5.

“Since when has the Twyford Road playing field been the King George Playing Field in Willington? It belongs to the Parish Council.
Lazy reporting DT yet again.
Hope the weather holds though so we can support the local scouts and Mercia Marina (not mentioned interestingly) firework displays.”
