A number of houses had to be evacuated after a suspicious package was found in Church Lane, Calow.
Bomb disposal officers carried out a controlled explosion of the device which was recovered for forensic examination.

Residents were allowed back to their homes the next day after the device had been made safe.
A 40-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of producing an explosive and were released on police bail pending further enquiries.
