A FAMILY woke up to the shock of finding they had been burgled in the night – and their Mercedes car had been stolen.

The thefts were discovered yesterday at a house on Heanor Road, Ilkeston, after the occupants went to bed at 10pm.

Thieves got in through a downstairs window before searching rooms.

They got away with four mobile phones and sets of keys to two cars, including the silver Mercedes. The other vehicle was left at the premises.
