A MICHAEL Jackson fan has created a tribute to the self-styled king of pop in Derby's Market Place.

And Lisa McLernon is calling on others to join her in paying their respects online.

The 29-year-old, of Alvaston, is also planning to celebrate Jackson's life and music in the Market Place on the date of his birthday, August 29.

Lisa laid flowers and photographs at the foot of the big screen on Monday with her cousin, Kevin Wood.

The singer died on Thursday, aged 50, after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home.

He had been due to perform 50 farewell concerts at the O2 Arena in London later this month.

Lisa had tickets for the performances in July and August.

She is asking fans to join her by paying tribute to the star via http://lastingtribute.this isderbyshire.co.uk/tribute/jackson/3103546.
