THE fate of a proposed solar panel farm in Denby will be decided in February.

Freetricity Plc has submitted plans for the farm in Street Lane, Denby, which protestors say would be the "largest in Europe".

More than 80 members of the Amber Valley SOS (Support Our Struggle) group have lodged their objections against the plans.

The group is already fighting against building on green sites throughout the east of Amber Valley.

It has vowed to support the residents of Denby in their battle against the plans.

Freetricity was unavailable for a comment but has described its scheme, which could supply enough energy for 1,200 to 1,500 houses, as a "capital investment in renewable energy".

It says the construction would take approximately two to three months, with one vehicle to deliver 60 panels per day .

The application is due to be determined under delegated powers on February 1.

    “( "these panels are harmless " )

    not according to this-

Hazardous Waste in the Solar Industry.
The manufacture of panels uses large amounts of electricity, involves toxic heavy metals such as cadmium, lead and mercury as well as producing dioxins, nanoparticles & large amounts of CO2.

“Digitina your link makes one fatal assumption. It assumes that "climate change" exists - it doesnt. The whole pseudo-science of climate change is the biggest con ever perpetrated on the human race. A con of equal proportions to religion. It is a con perpetrated to justify high taxes and nothing more.”
