Firefighters again called to derelict building in Great Northern Road, Derby

FIREFIGHTERS have again been called out to a city centre derelict building to deal with a fire. 

They were sent to the empty property, in Great Northern Road, Derby, on Monday at about 2.30pm, after calls that smoke was issuing from one of the windows.

It took them just under half an hour to put out the fire, which had started in a small pile of rubbish.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said they were often called to the building.
