AN animal rescue centre that gives horses, cats, dogs, pigs, chickens, rabbits and ducks a home is in desperate need of donations.

Anne Sammon, who runs Homeward Bound centre, in Barrow upon Trent, said the recent floods had left a lot of her fields under water.

As such, the 65-year-old – who in the past has had to use her pension to keep the centre afloat – said she desperately needs donations so she can afford to buy in animal food.

Anne also said she needs to build 10 large stables and 20 small stables on the site – but funding is a problem.

“Homewardbound is NOT a non profit organisation at all - they have been struck off by Companies House recently for failure to provide documentation & paperwork regarding their activities. I could tell you much much more!”
