Foremarke Hall, which is the prep school for Repton School, is closely involved in the overseas project.
Foremarke Hall head teacher Richard Merriman is a council member of the Independent Association of Prep Schools, which represents the head teachers of about 600 of the world's leading preparatory schools.
Head of the new school is Julian Pederick, who worked at Foremarke Hall for four years as head of boarding.
Foremarke Dubai will deliver a British curriculum to year six pupils. It is expected many of the pupils completing their education at Foremarke Dubai will move on to Repton School's partner school in Dubai – Repton Dubai – which opened five years ago.
