Free garden waste collection offered by local authority
A FREE garden waste collection is being offered to residents in Amber Valley who order a bin from the council.
All residents can order a standard-sized wheelie bin before December 17, which previously cost £40 a year.
Now, each new bin costs £20 to cover delivery.
Amber Valley Borough Council will not charge more for the new collection service, which will run throughout the year, except during the winter months of December, January and February.

The bins can be ordered by calling 01773 841308 or at any of the council offices in Alfreton, Belper, Heanor or Ripley.
Julian Townsend, from environmental services, said: "I would urge people to make the most of this window of opportunity and to order a bin before the deadline."
