Gang raid Co-op for alcohol and cigs
UP to six masked raiders are believed to have been involved in a shop burglary.
Witnesses told police they saw the men, who were all wearing dark clothing and balaclavas, outside the Co-op store in Borrowash.
The raiders broke shutters and smashed a window to get inside the Victoria Avenue store. They then loaded cigarettes and alcohol into a large bag before making off.
The incident happened at 4.25pm on Sunday, when the shop was closed. Police say the men drove off in two cars – one black and one silver – and area appealing for witnesses to call 101.

“Borrowash Co-op is always being done over. It also has a huge number of regular shoplifters. They don't ban anyone who is caught and no charges are ever brought. Badly run shop in my opinion. Asda always call out the police to shoplifters...Co-op let them go on their way. Pathetic.”
