I HAVE written to the Prime Minister urging him to abandon legislation allowing gay marriage. Of course my plea will be ignored.

I note the Government has appeased the Church stating it will not be included or need to perform gay weddings. But any other institutions will – what a farce. Gay weddings should not be allowed. Check any dictionary under the heading "marriage" and you will find it states that it is a "union between a man and a woman".

The Prime Minister and Boris Johnson seem bent on some modernistic belief that gay marriage is the only way forward.

The gay fraternity have their civil ceremony which they fought hard and long for and that is as far as it should go. This latest legislation, if passed, will demean the lawful institute of marriage and it must not happen.

“I totally agree with you Tony-nowhere in his 2010 election manifesto did it mention gay "marriage" and besides there are far more important issues that need to be addressed like immigration control and sorting out the economy rather than pandering to natures curved balls!”

“There cannot be any such thing as "Same sex marriages" Marriage is for a man and woman who wish to have children within wedlock and of course those who are past child bearing age who quite understandably fall in love and wish to officially confirm their relationship. A person who marries anyone or anything which is not within these parameters actively makes a mockery of existing marriages between loving men and women.

Sometimes I think that marrying a tree would be a good idea. This is not a new idea or some flight of fancy but a reflection of what has happened in history.
When a man married his piano there were questions asked about whether the piano had consented to the marriage.

Look up "10 strangest things that one can marry" on the internet….
A woman called "Erika" married the Eifell Tower, I expect the amount of rivets the Tower had was the initial attraction.
Sharon Tendler married a dolphin – a very handsome dolphin he was too.
A Japanese chap called "Lui" married himself (it'll probably end in divorce).
Another Japanese fellow, "Sal9000" (no relation to me) married the Nintendo character, "Nene Anegasaki"
Magali Jaskiewicz married Jonathan George (who was dead)
    Bimbala Das married a cobra.
    Ms. Wolfe married a rollercoaster.
    "Zoltan" married his robot.
Eija-Riitta Berliner-Mauer married the Berlin wall.
And finally, Jelili Adesanya married his daughter.

So, it's already happening. Get married to who or what you like, I'm going to live in sin as this marriage thing has made me feel positively queasy.”
