Glick tells of his Rams 'adventure'
MEMBERS of the Rotary Club of Church Wilne welcomed Tom Glick, the chief executive of Derby County Football Club, to their recent meeting.
He came to Britain three years ago on what can be best described as a terrific adventure.

Tom has always had a passion for sport and he represents a group of North Americans who chose Derby County from around 20 other English clubs.
The reasons were, he said, because they have a tremendous strength in support, a first class stadium, a great history with the likes of Steve Bloomer, Roy McFarland, Dave Mackay and were First Division Champions in 1972 and 1975. They also saw a club not performing at its peak and are looking to build a much stronger club. They are looking to be patient and will be competitive but not at all costs.
He spoke about the fantastic television coverage of the game and its growth potential. Also he touched on players' agents, Nigel Clough and his assistants, the transfer window, spending wisely and value for money.
A vote of thanks was given by Richard Ransom.
