VAUGHN Hallsworth's last-minute winner booked Holbrook Sports' place in the FA Vase third round.

They fought back from 2-1 down to defeat Black Country Rangers in this second round clash.

Holbrook started brightly on a sticky surface and looked like they were going to cut through the defence at ease.

After 10 minutes, a break from Hallsworth led to him racing into the box and his square pass to Simeon Oshoboke set up what looked like a certain goal but the shot was straight at the keeper.

However, Oshoboke made no mistake in the 10th minute to give Holbrook the lead before leaving the game with a hamstring injury.

The home side levelled before the break and took a 70th-minute lead thanks to a controversial penalty decision.

But Holbrook levelled when Ben Gowing fired a thunderous 30-yard drive into the top corner.

Holbrook made a final change with Sam Ridgard sent on to replace Steve Akers on the right wing.

And in the closing minutes the substitute broke away down the right, cut into the area and shaped to shoot before teeing up Hallsworth to score the winner.
