Harbinder Singh Khatkar, 37, appears in court charged with sex offences
A 37-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court charged with sexually assaulting three woman during a nine-hour period.
Harbinder Singh Khatkar has been charged with nine offences, including three rapes, a sexual assault and a robbery, allegedly committed against the women in the Pear Tree and Normanton areas of Derby between 12.30am and 9am on Saturday.
Khatkar, of Moorside Crescent, Sinfin, appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court in Derby yesterday. He sat in the dock wearing a black jumper and black trousers, with his hands clasped in front of him.
Khatkar is alleged to have assaulted the first woman in a park off Rawdon Street at about 12.30am.

He is alleged to have then, an hour later, trespassed into a woman's house in the area with the intent to commit a sexual offence. He is also accused of raping, sexually assaulting and falsely imprisoning her in her home.
At 9am, Khatkar is alleged to have trespassed into another woman's home with the intent to commit a sexual offence. He is also accused of robbing her of wifi equipment and money.
Khatkar was not asked to enter pleas to the charges but the court heard the allegations would be denied.
Investigating officers have appealed to anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault in the area to come forward if they have not already reported it.
