Heavy delays after accident on A52
DRIVERS were delayed for up to two-and-half hours in last night's rush-hour after a four-car collision on the A52.
Five people were injured in the crash, which happened between Bardills Island and junction 25 of the M1.

PILE-UP: Police and the fire service at the scene of the collision.
Nottinghamshire police, five ambulances, fire crews and a fast response vehicle attended the incident at 4pm.
Both the eastbound carriageway and the slip road from the M1 were closed as investigations were carried out.
A spokeswoman for the Highways Agency said they were re-opened by 7.20pm.
One motorist was treated for a suspected seizure, another treated with spinal injuries and three other patients were dealt with.
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said some patients went to the Queen's Medical Centre but could not confirm how many.
Alan Marwood, from the East Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "It was a typical fast-road collision with vehicles travelling at relatively high speeds and coming to a sudden halt.
"The fire brigade cut two people out of their cars and there was an excellent response from police to keep the traffic moving."
The Derby-bound carriageway of the A52 remained open, with traffic being diverted.
One driver, Andrena White, was travelling from Derby to her home in Chilwell. She said: "I was stuck about a mile-and-a-half before the M1 junction for about an hour and 10 minutes."

“If the road was cleared, as was stated, at 7.20pm why did the Red Arrow leave Nottingham 25 minutes late at 10.45pm What´s more it was full, and people were turned away as the driver wouldn´t allow standing”

“There is a 40mph speed limit approaching this island, which hardly anyone sticks too. Maybe this should be enforced a bit! And to quote from the story 'there was an excellent response from police to keep the traffic moving."........Im LMAO”
