Hockey: Losing debut for Webb
IT was a disappointing international debut for Blackbrook's Hollie Webb in the indoor Champions Trophy against Scotland.
Webb, the former Belper player who is now with Cannock, earned her first call-up to the senior women's indoor squad for the four-match series but was on the losing side as England were beaten 6-2 by the Scots.
"We played well in the first half," said team manager Dan Tilley.
"The Scots pushed hard in the second half and gained the upper hand.
"It's still been a positive experience and good practice ahead of the Europeans. For some of the players, it was their first indoor hockey."
