Holocaust Memorial Day marked with sorrow
WE remembered Holocaust Memorial Day on January 27 with much sorrow.
There have been some horrendous examples of human degradation and mass murder in our times.
The most outstanding to me is the Jewish Holocaust because it is the supreme example of mechanised extermination with the deliberate purpose of obliterating a race considered to be sub-human and inferior.
Not only German Nazis but people in countries under their occupation within Europe offered up their Jewish men, women and children to their SS masters.

Even Pope Pious in Rome, who was presented with solid proof of the Nazi death camps, chose to remain silent. Little wonder, since it was not until the 1960s that the papacy could bring itself to state the Jews were not, after all, guilty of Christ's death.

“This may be contentious, but how can a race of people who have gone through the horrors of the holocaust and unimaginable suffering, then treat the Palistinian people so dreadfully?”
