Home Secretary Theresa May vows to review how police force funding works
HOME Secretary Theresa May has vowed to look again at the funding deal which sees the county's police force miss out on millions.
The Derbyshire force says its current deal means it is missing out on £5 million a year it should receive.

Politicians have agreed the budget until 2014 but, on a visit to Derby yesterday to support Tory Simon Spencer in today's Police and Crime Commissioner elections, Ms May said: "We said we would look at the issue around how money is allocated between police forces in due course and we will do that."
She said the £1 million cost of Derbyshire's commissioner elections was justified, stating: "There is a price to democracy and I believe it is right to introduce democracy in the police so they are held to account."
