Homes evacuated after gas main fire
PEOPLE had to leave their homes after a gas main caught fire.
The blaze, in Hallwood Close, Church Gresley, happened at 11.15am yesterday.
Fire crews from Swadlincote and Moira were called to the incident.
The area surrounding the fire was evacuated and cornered off as a precaution.

Engineers attended the scene to isolate the gas and electricity supplies while the flames were tackled.
Fire crews left the scene at 12.30pm.
