Immigration is causing us to lose our identity
LIKE Granville Stone, "Immigration has to stop to protect our England" (February 4), I too was brought up in the last war.
I was 16 years old before I ever saw a coloured person but the England I knew then is fast turning into a different world.
All my life I've been proud of my English roots. But now we have immigrants coming into our country then after a while claiming they are British, denying their own birth country and, of course, claiming their rights of free this and that.
I remember the German bombers going over, the Anderson shelters, the rationing, and singing in school: "There will always be an England and England will be free."

Our forces fought in two world wars and many lives were lost. Those sacrifices seem to be in vain. We are losing our identity. Immigration has gone too far.
