Independent is to stand for election
AN independent candidate will stand in Derby North in the general election.
David Gale, 51, was born in the city and has been a director of a Derby company since 1996.
He said he was motivated to stand for Government because he "deplores the lack of accountability of politicians and public sector organisations to the people of Derby."
In his spare time, Mr Gale has campaigned against NHS land sales, government waste on IT, speed camera maladministration and the inconsistency of the judiciary.
He said: "The message that I'm hearing from those who have traditionally voted for a political party is, 'We're fed up with Westminster, and we're fed up with the party politics of vested interest. We want an Independent MP who will represent us'."
Mr Gale's campaign can be followed at www.davidgaleindependent.org.uk

“That's very kind of you, Peter. Alan Graves is standing for Derby South and I'm standing for Derby North. Please note the web address given at the foot of the article shouldn't have a space between 'DavidGale' and 'Independent'. It's sending people to the wrong site. It should be 3 'w's, a dot, then davidgaleindependent.org.uk”
