INDOOR CRICKET: Rolls-Royce closed the Derbyshire Indoor Cricket League season by lifting the Arthur Honeybun Memorial Trophy at the Gateway Centre.

They passed a stiff target of 145-3 set by Lullington Park in the final with three wickets and one-and-a-half overs to spare.

Luke Bingham top-scored for Lullington with 33 but, when their score was 85-1 from six overs, it looked like their total might be a lot more formidable.

Spinners Faisal Khan and Dave Yeomans checked them, however and, when Royces replied, captain Waseem Mohammed led the way with 40 not out.

Yeomans hit 36 not out and Khan 26 not out.

Earlier, in the semi-finals, Royces had disposed of Brailsford easily, bowling them out for 73 and knocking the runs off with one wicket down, with Khan and Mohammed both unbeaten again.

Lullington had piled up 187-5 in their semi-final, with 55 from Richard Green and 43 not out from Tom Oliver, and that was 69 too many for Ilkeston.

RESULTS: Arthur Honeybun Memorial Trophy, semi-finals: Lullington Park 187-5 (R Green 55, T Oliver 43*, W Harris 28, M Brandrick 2-37) beat Ilkeston 118 (T Brandrick 43, P Burrow 29, J Goodwin 2-19) by 69 runs. Rolls-Royce 76-1 (F Khan 27*, W Mohammed25*) beat Brailsford 73 (M Dowling 30) by 5 wickets.

Final: Rolls-Royce 147-3 (W Mohammed 40*, D Yeomans 36*, F Khan 26*) beat Lullington Park 145-5 (L Bingham 33, C Veale 27*, F Khan 2-30, D Yeomans 2-20) by 3 wickets.
