More than £1 million is being spent at the JCB Heavy Products factory in Uttoxeter to increase capacity.

And a further £2 million is being invested at JCB Transmissions in Wrexham.

The company said it was investing in its factories in preparation for growth in demand for its machines across the world.

Chief executive Alan Blake said: “JCB has ambitious plans to grow its business and investing heavily in our manufacturing capability to increase capacity and enhance quality is key to meeting our expansion goals.”
